Christmas Day always begins before breakfast.
圣诞节总是在早餐前开始。
The children wake up very early, and can't wait to open the presents in their stockings.
孩子们醒来非常早, 迫不及待地打开他们袜子里面的礼物。
Then they wake up, their parents calling: “Merry Christmas!”
然后他们醒来，他们的父母喊道: “圣诞快乐!”
What does Christmas mean?
圣诞节意味着什么呢？
Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ.
圣诞节是耶稣基督的生日。
When he was born nearly two thousand years ago, many people gave him presents.
大约两千年前，当他出生时，许多人送他礼物。
So today people still do the same thing to each other.
所以今天人们仍然对彼此做同样的事情。
Everyone likes presents, but they think it's better to give than to receive.每个人都喜欢礼物，但他们认为送礼物比收礼物好。
