小朋友们大家好~圣诞节的脚步越来越近了，节日的气息扑面而来~
今天悦悦特意给大家准备了圣诞题材的绘本故事，同样是Pet the Cat 系列绘本，名字叫做《Pet the Cat Saves Christmas》。
圣诞老人生病了，可是小朋友们真的收不到礼物了吗？让我们一起看一下善良的皮特猫是怎样拯救圣诞节的吧~~

Pet the Cat Saves Christmas
1
It was the day before Christmas and Santa was ill.
In the cold winter wind he had caught a bad chill.
再过一天就是圣诞节了，
可我们的圣诞老人却感冒了。
原来是那冬天里一阵寒风侵袭了他这渐老的身躯。

Will Christmas be cancelled?
Will it come to that?
“Never!” cried Santa.
“Let’s call Pete the Cat!”
圣诞节会取消？
真的会这样吗？
“绝对不！”圣诞老人嚷道“让我给皮特猫打个电话！”
Santa asked Pete to deliver the toys
to all the good girls and to all the good boys.
圣诞老人让皮特带些玩具给所有
可爱懂事的女孩们和活泼机灵的男孩们。

“I’ll do it!” said Pete.
“And although I am small,
at Christmas we give,
so I’ll give it my all.”
“我会做到的！”皮特说。
“虽然我很小，但在圣诞节，我也会给予的。”

At Christmas we give,

把礼物送给你，把礼物全你，
在圣诞节我们给予，把礼物送给所有的人。

Pete jumped in his minibus and started to roll.
皮特跳上了他的迷你巴士，然后出发了。
“公路旅行出发！”皮特嚷道
“第一站，北极。”

The reindeer were waiting to give Pete a tow,
So he packed up the presents and told them to go.
驯鹿正在等着帮皮特拉礼物，
所以皮特在打包了这些礼物后，
就立马告诉了他们要把礼物运往哪里。

The minibus flew, just like in a movie.
Pete the Cat cried, “This is totally groovy!”
这个迷你巴士飞得好快，电影里的画面成真了耶。
猫皮特叫道“这太棒了！”

“I can do it!”
Said Pete, “and although I am small,
at Christmas we give,
so I’ll give it my all.”
“我可以做到，我可以做到！”皮特说。
“虽然我人单力薄，
但在这个互助互爱的圣诞节到来之际，
我会尽心尽力的。”
